Final Draft
The Final Draft product helps practices and
billing services create and store documents within Medisoft.
These documents can and should be tied to specific charts.
Because of the growing need for extensive documentation.
This speaks both patient and insurance documentation.

Patient Notes
When in a patient’s account, click the
Final Draft icon. The application opens to a Final Draft
document, which is unique to that patient. Final Draft
automatically applies the current date and time stamp on the
documentation and identifies the user. This documentation can
contain as many entries as needed. It‘s a journal of phone
calls and actions taken by the insurance carrier, the office,
the patient, attorneys, etc. Use this feature as a fast, easy,
and consistent method to capture important information about
individual accounts. These documents can be copied and pasted
into other applications and printed.

Final Draft gives users the ability to
design and create specific templates for documents frequently
used in the practice. Examples of such templates are: payment
agreements, past-due notices, welcome letters, and insurance
appeal letters just to name a few. Final draft allows users to
merge data from Medisoft into these templates.

Documents can be generated specifically for
individual patients, or for a more global document, users can
take advantage of the Letter Wizard feature. The Wizard allows
for grouping of patients; this is great for sending out a large
quantity of letters such as Past Due Reminders to accompany the
patient statements that meet the practice’s criteria.
To activate the Letter Wizard, click the
File menu in Final Draft and select Letter Wizard.
After the Wizard opens, choose the type of
documentation you want to use, such as an existing template.
Select the template and click Next.

The Letter Wizard then prompts users to
make a selection of records that
Select the option that meets the criteria
for the Wizard to merge the information requested.

The Letter Wizard then allows users to
choose an individual chart or multiple accounts that need to be
included in the merge. The Filter button can be used to
modify the selection list further.

Once either the Print or Preview
is clicked, the Letter Wizard generates the letter or document
for the accounts that were identified.

Final Draft offers options similar to word
processing products, such as spell check, colors, and font
changes.

Final Draft allows end users to save files
in an organized manner for easy retrieval.
