All practices are required to maintain a Software
Maintenance Contract with EMBS for new Software
installations for at least 3 years.Fee is paid annually at the beginning of each year.
However, the client has the option to purchase a Hardware
Maintenance Contract as well from EMBS.
Clients can carry a hardware contract with any other
vendor (Nor recommended)
The Hardware Maintenance Contract includes (FREE of
CHARGE):
Covers hardware replacement for faulty internal parts such as power
supplies, CPU fan, memory, hard drive, motherboard, CD Rom,
modems, UPS, Monitors
Does cover other business software applications such as Microsoft Word,
Excel, and Power Point.
Covers applications that are normally necessary to run your medical
practice.
Does cover the operating system such as Windows, in the case the system
has to be reinstalled or it crashes.
Does cover network hardware part replacement free of charge
Does cover the installation of: laptops on the network, Medisoft Software
Client and new printers.
The Hardware Maintenance Contract DOES NOT include
(CHARGES APPLY):
Does not cover any laptops or printers replacement parts.
Does not cover a PC, Printer or Laptop replacement.If a Desktop or Tower, EMBS will try to replace the
faulty part first free of charge.If the system needs to be replaced due to parts
availability on systems that are too old then new system is
billable.There is
no labor charge to set up the new system.
Does not cover any software application that is not necessary to maintain
the normal business course of your practice.
Does not cover any new computer installs or upgrade as part of a complete
office upgrade.If
it is a single computer, upgrade is covered.All software licenses must be up-to-date and made
available to the tech at the time of the upgrade
Does not cover problems arising from end-user downloads from the Internet
such as multimedia files, videos, pictures, games, music and so
on.
Does not cover any entertainment software
Does not cover any computer cabling that requires going through walls or
ceilings.
Any hardware support services not covered under this contract are
available from EMBS on a time and material basis (Click
here to see current rate)
EXAMPLES
Problem: User comes in the morning and is not able to connect
to Medisoft on the network.User calls in for support.

goes on site and applies patches required for Medisoft in order to work with updates applied
to Windows

EMBS reserves the right to terminate this contract
at any time.If
EMBS chooses to do so, EMBS will refund the remaining portion of
the contract to the client for the current year.
